JEWEL SHINES IN THE GEORGIE AWARDS
Burnaby High Rise Named Three-Time Finalist
October 27, 2010: Jewel, Boffo Developments’ spectacular high rise community in Metrotown, is a finalist in three categories of the 2010 Georgie Awards®: Best Multi Family High Rise, Best Interior Design, and Best Landscape Architecture.
“Jewel was designed to bring a new level of luxury and five-star living to the neighbourhood — our sales told us we succeeded,” says Karen West, marketing manager. “We are thrilled to have this project acknowledged as among the very best found anywhere in the province.”
Unique in the surrounding Burnaby cityscape, Jewel’s multi-facetted façade and dramatic, porte cochere of tempered glass with barrel vault (the largest ever used for a residential property in Metro Vancouver) are iconic. Amenities include full-service concierge; residences’ lounge with chef’s demonstration kitchen and wine bar; fitness centre; hotel-style jetted hot tub and steam room; and landscaping that’s not only beautiful from the ground but creates visually intriguing, geometric patterns when viewed from suite balconies.
“Jewel was always envisioned to stand out, to be something truly different,” West says. “This project fills a niche market among consumers who want larger, extremely well-appointed homes. Jewel II is now under construction, and we are delighted to already be seeing an even stronger response, with over 50% of the homes already sold to date.”
Sponsored by the Canadian Home Builders Association of British Columbia (CHBA BC), the Georgie Awards are British Columbia’s premiere housing awards. Winners of the 2010 will be announced March 5, 2011.
