Concrete Pour at Modello!

It’s a big week for Modello construction! Take a look at the footage below showing the concrete pour that took place yesterday (January 6th).
We completed the tower core footing with 1200 cubic metres of concrete pour. To give some perspective, that’s enough to fill an entire football field, 5 feet high! A total of 120 trucks delivered the concrete material between 7am and 4pm, and we used 3 concrete boom pump trucks. Thanks to the help of Lafarge Group – we used ultra green concrete, with sustainability in mind.
It was an impressive and monumental day for Boffo Developments, as it marked the first major concrete pour that will provide the foundation for this future landmark building.
A big shout out goes to our hardworking trades crew! We would also like to extend our thanks to the City of Burnaby for their help and support.
