ARTEMISIA ~ February Update

Since our last update, the installation of the exterior marble columns began just before Christmas and has continued since then, subject only to poor weather conditions. The marble columns are now complete along the rear elevation and Helmcken Street. The installation along Hornby Street is proceeding well and is expected to be complete in about three weeks time. The concrete planter walls have been poured and completion of the concrete sidewalks and lane paving is underway. Once this is done the landscaping will be planted.

The finishing of the interior is progressing well with the installation of the glass interior walls, cabinetry, countertops, appliances and millwork and is expected to be finished by early April.

The custom designed, hand-set mosaic floor tile has now arrived and installation will be commencing in the main foyer and lobby area. The design is quite dramatic and will flow through the lobby to the exterior landing and the edge of the public sidewalk. The 12 foot high wooden entry doors in combination with this beautiful mosaic tile will certainly create an iconic entrance to Artemisia. The custom made chandeliers are expected to arrive shortly and will be installed throughout the corridors and vaulted ceilings by approximately mid March. 

We are anticipating the completion of construction to be early April.
