Firma – rooftop garden plots

Four storeys above the bustling Burnaby Heights neighbourhood, sits the rooftop garden plots that are tended to by the residents of Firma. A wide variety of flowers, vegetables, and fruits are planted each year – each willing resident occupying their own section of the planter.

Spring time means everything is in full growth mode – check out the progress of these rows of lettuce over only a couple weeks.

Other garden treasures include sunflowers, lavender, rosemary, mint, rhubarb, red lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries and more.

Each year we are so pleased to see the Firma residents utilizing every inch of these planters, making the building rooftop look so beautiful.

There really is nothing better than being able to pick your very own fresh herbs and vegetables to incorporate into your family’s meals.
